Magister artium in blacksmithing (Estonian Academy of Arts, 2002)
I don’t set boundaries and can improvise endlessly. When forming a material, it starts guiding me and the end result can often be a surprise to myself too. It’s an endless process, in which I live and what I enjoy. I’m its component, sometimes creator, sometimes tool. I let inspiration and chance lead me to thoughts and fantasies, from which artworks are born from. I work mostly with wood and metals, because these materials in particular will begin to live with me.
